Company & Role:
Manufacturing company is looking for a Controller who is adept at more technical accounting and reporting. In this role you will oversee Corporate Reporting, including consolidating financial statements, cash flow projections, working capital, tax & audit, and payroll analysis.
What will you do:
- Oversee financial and operational metrics, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards. Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations and collaborate with the Plant Controller to accurately classify financial activities, while maintaining proper accounting standards.
- Provide insights into business performance by challenging forecasts and reviewing variances. Coordinate month- and year-end closing processes, consolidate reporting for multiple businesses, and develop ongoing payroll reporting in collaboration with HR.
- Manage bank accounting and cashflow forecasting, approve and release payments, and oversee fund transfers between accounts. Maintain bank relationships and handle customer credit evaluations, including developing a process for credit analysis and reporting.
- Coordinate tax processes with the internal tax team, ensuring timely filing of federal, state, and local taxes. Manage compliance with tax authorities, file annual reports, and oversee business registrations and insurance documentation.
- Act as a key member of the leadership team, offering financial insights and policy-setting guidance. Participate in corporate improvement initiatives, identify areas for process enhancements, and provide ad-hoc financial analysis as needed.
What they are looking for:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a technical accounting/financial reporting role
- BA in Accounting, Finance Business Administration, or related field; CPA or CMA big plus
- Experience in GAAP is required, and IFRS preferred
