Investment Accountant POST NUMBER: 427526
In this role you will be part of a team that works on the Accounting and analysis of specific funds. You will also be involved with other ad hoc analysis projects as the business/market dictates. This role will afford you the opportunity to communicate with both internal customers as well as external parties. This is a hybrid position, salary to $115K
Responsibilities:
- Execute investment account reconciliations for established funds
- Prepare and analyze financial statements related to investments, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
- Record investment transactions such as purchases, sales, interest income, dividends, and capital gains.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and company policies. Implement and improve processes within the group to create additional efficiencies.
- Assist in the preparation of investment disclosures for financial reports.
- Using your analytical and modeling experience, you will perform analysis of specific operations and prepare findings for leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Candidates with a background in Fund accounting, Investment banking, or other related financial firms are encouraged to apply, as are those in public accounting with investment clients
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in investment accounting or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and investment products.
- Experience with financial reporting and portfolio accounting software.
- CPA, CFA, or similar certification preferred.
