Job Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled DevSecOps Engineer to join our team to support Data protection initiative.  This role will focus on decommissioning outdated assets, performing critical system upgrades, and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using industry-leading tools and platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience in cloud environments (Azure or AWS), HashiCorp Vault, Kubernetes, Docker, and other DevOps and security tools. You will play a key role in modernizing our infrastructure and ensuring robust security integration.

Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Lead the decommissioning of legacy systems and assets, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
  • Perform system upgrades to maintain optimal security and functionality across cloud environments (Azure or AWS).
  • Develop and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar, to automate infrastructure deployment and management.
  • Automate security processes across Kubernetes, Docker, and other DevOps platforms, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance.
  • Use HashiCorp Vault for secure secret management and access control, safeguarding sensitive data.
  • Integrate security controls into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure continuous protection during software development and infrastructure changes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security is integrated into all infrastructure and development efforts.
  • Develop and enforce security policies and procedures that align with industry regulations and internal standards.
  • Monitor, assess, and address security vulnerabilities and incidents, particularly in relation to decommissioning and infrastructure changes.
  • Stay updated on emerging DevSecOps trends, tools, and best practices to enhance the security posture of the organization.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8 years of experience in Devops or DevSecOps or a similar role, focusing on infrastructure modernization and automation.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms (Azure or AWS), with a focus on secure and scalable infrastructure.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container security.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
  • Familiarity with HashiCorp Vault for secret management and data security.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, security automation, and system upgrades.
  • Experience in decommissioning outdated assets and infrastructure modernization projects.
  • Knowledge of security standards and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across development, IT, and security teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in cloud security or DevOps (e.g., AWS Certified Security, Azure Security Engineer Associate).
  • Familiarity with encryption protocols, data protection techniques, and legacy system migration.
  • English speaking only, French is an asset

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
