Assistant Controller POST NUMBER: 428206
The Assistant Controller will play a critical role in supporting our financial team. Reporting to the CFO and Director of Accounting, you’ll be instrumental in maintaining our financial accuracy, streamlining our accounting processes, and supporting high-impact financial decisions across the organization. Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Close & Reconciliation: Lead and support our period-end close process, including account reconciliations and journal entries.
- Asset Management: Oversee fixed asset processes, including depreciation, amortization, and asset disposition to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Tax Compliance: Manage compliance and filing of monthly Sales & Use tax returns.
- Financial Reporting: Assist with budget preparation and period-end financial statements; develop custom financial reports as needed.
- Accuracy & Efficiency: Create and maintain workpapers to validate Balance Sheet accounts, and implement policies to improve the close and reporting process.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Develop strong relationships with senior management, identifying needs and delivering tailored financial solutions.
- Project Participation: Partner with executive leadership on special projects and other assigned duties to drive our company’s financial goals.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a minimum of 3 years of related accounting experience, including experience managing projects and workflow.
- Certification: CPA preferred but not required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and Google Suite.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of working with senior management.
- Additional Attributes: Organized and deadline-driven with a problem-solving mindset, a can-do attitude, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
