The Chief Financial Officer will be company's senior financial leader, responsible for leading the Finance, Accounting and Treasury functions. As CFO, you will be expected to meaningfully contribute to performance across strategic growth and profitability initiatives. The CFO will need to be entrepreneurial in nature and will have had prior leadership experience within the finance function. This individual must be collaborative, personable, and have exceptional analytical skills, with an energetic day-to-day “roll-your-sleeves-up” attitude. The CFO must also possess strong communication skills and the ability to influence and work effectively in a small company environment. Reporting to the CEO, the CFO will serve as a member of the senior leadership team and play a key role in the growth and development of the business.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as member of the senior leadership team and advisor to the CEO, providing insights and recommendations on opportunities that drive and support profitable business growth
- Accountability for the design and oversight of a high-performing FP&A and accounting organization, leveraging technology and process innovation
- Assess and develop talent within the finance function while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality financial reporting and analyses tailored for both internal and external users
- Develop and maintain robust set of key performance indicators (KPI’S), dashboard reporting and other analytics to measure business performance and to facilitate decision-making
- Lead post-closing financial M&A integration activities within a shared-service back-office model, including integration and harmonization of financial systems and processes
- Capable of effectively communicating business performance, both written and oral, across all levels of the organization, including senior leadership, the Board of Directors, private-equity advisors, and lenders.
- Interact regularly and maintain relationships with outside third-party advisors (legal, financial, tax, consulting)
QUALIFICATIONS
- Financial leadership experience at a corporate level or significant division-level in a mid or large cap organization; manufacturing and/or field services industry experience preferred.
- Prior experience in scaling and growing businesses in a growth-oriented company; experience in PE-backed businesses advantageous
- Capable of working collaboratively across all levels of the organization; ability to thrive in a small company environment with a lean organizational structure; including ability to work in an individual contributor role
- Strong data manipulation and analytical skills; proficiency with Excel and other BI-enabling technologies such as PowerBI required; prior FP&A leadership experience preferred
- Prior experience with M&A and contributing to financial and accounting post-integration efforts
- Prior experience with Sage Intacct is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with executive leadership, Board or Directors and private-equity investors
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. CPA, CFA, MBA, or relevant advanced degree preferred
