Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Estimator with 10 years of expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of construction processes, cost estimation, and project management in the commercial construction industry. This role is critical to ensuring accurate project bids, maintaining profitability, and fostering strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:

Project Estimation and Cost Analysis:
- Prepare detailed, accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other project documents to determine scope and requirements.
- Develop comprehensive project budgets and timelines.

Bid Preparation and Presentation:
- Lead the preparation of competitive project bids for clients and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing and ensure cost-efficiency.
- Present and explain estimates to clients, addressing any concerns or questions.

Risk Assessment and Value Engineering:
- Identify potential risks or challenges and develop mitigation strategies.
- Propose value engineering solutions to optimize project costs without compromising quality.

Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to align project goals with budget constraints.
- Maintain clear communication with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Participate in pre-bid and pre-construction meetings.

Market and Industry Analysis:
- Stay updated on market trends, cost fluctuations, and new technologies in commercial construction.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors.

Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, bid submissions, and project cost data.
- Generate detailed reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:

Experience and Skills:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial construction estimating.
- Proven track record of preparing accurate and competitive estimates for medium to large-scale projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Sage Estimating) and Microsoft Office Suite.

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
