Senior Financial Analyst - Projects POST NUMBER: 430026
Our client is sourcing a Senior Financial Analyst – Projects for a 12-Month Contract.
About the Opportunity
- Assist the Director of Finance and CFO with project reporting
- Lead the government grant applications reporting process and prepare grant submission documentation and milestone summaries as required by the contract schedule
- Support the budget preparation process and contribute to rolling forecast analytics to aid in decision-making for planning and value creation
- Serve as a key contact for project reporting, tracking, and managing ad-hoc queries from management.
- Work with and hold project managers accountable for spending, monthly tracking, and analysis to ensure targets are met
- Oversee and support data collection and analysis for projects in collaboration with functional owners
- Assist with the financial planning of the company's annual budget process, and ongoing forecasting for projects, serving as the primary contact for all department heads
- Participate in month-end close meetings with Accounting, Project Engineering, Operations, and senior management
- Prepare monthly financial forecasts for senior management, including risk/opportunity assessments, and track company-wide project manpower hours for trending and grant submission support
- Work with Finance management to help implement policies related to establishing reliable and accurate cut-off and accrual procedures, support standardization, and develop templated change request forms and other project management-related tasks
- Support the PMO Leader with various program coordination activities
- Coordinate the preparation of the Summary Report for the monthly team member meeting, led by the PMO Leader
About You
- 2 years of FP&A experience – forecasting, budget to actuals
- Experience with project ownership, attention to detail
- Strong excel, PowerPoint and data analytics ability
- Verbal and written communication and ability to make presentations
- Accounting designation is an asset but not required
- Polished and well communicative enough to make executive presentations
