  • Lead benefits administration, including open enrollment planning, timelines, employee communications, and evaluation of enhanced benefit offerings.

  • Support recruiting and workforce planning initiatives, including periods of significant growth and hiring.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR infrastructure, processes, communication, and employee engagement.

Qualifications

  • 6–8 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a multi-site or multi-entity environment.
  • Strong knowledge of New York employment law, including FMLA, Paid Family Leave, employee relations, and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience building or formalizing HR processes within a growing organization.
  • Experience supporting multiple locations, business units, or legal entities.
  • Strong employee relations and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Experience with benefits administration and open enrollment.
  • Ability to work effectively with hourly, salaried, part-time, per diem, and professional employee populations.
  • Strong understanding of HR compliance, documentation, policies, and best practices.
  • Excellent judgment and the ability to recognize when outside legal or professional guidance is needed.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust across all levels of an organization.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Comfortable operating in an environment where processes and infrastructure are still being developed.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR professional and builder who is comfortable creating structure where it doesn't yet exist. You should be equally comfortable advising leadership on complex employee matters, developing HR processes, supporting employees, and helping shape the organization's HR strategy as it grows.

This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on the development of an HR function within a growing, multi-entity organization.
