About the Opportunity
- Oversee the completion of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Analyze financial data to prepare summaries and ensure efficient and precise financial results for each period.
- Manage the payroll function for both hourly and salaried employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Analyze financial data to provide strategic recommendations for optimizing resource utilization, operational efficiency, and process improvements.
- Maintain responsibility for the chart of accounts, ensuring accurate recording of financial data in the P&L and Balance Sheet in accordance with ASPE guidelines.
- Oversee bank reconciliations, the accounts payable process, vendor payment controls, accounts receivable management, and cash application, with an emphasis on aged invoices and credit limit monitoring.
- Review and analyze manufacturing costs, overhead, and G&A expenses, offering recommendations for cost management strategies and overhead absorption rates.
- Ensure the accurate and timely recording and analysis of revenues and expenses, in line with financial reporting standards.
- Manage provincial and federal government reporting requirements and corporate tax filings.
- Assist and oversee all physical inventory counts and reconciliation.
- Use utmost discretion in dealing with company and customers' confidential data.
- Perform other tasks as required
About You
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent of experience
- Experience with manufacturing ERP
- Strong Manufacturing accounting knowledge and expertise in Office 365, MS Excel, and Teams.
- Prior experience in Epicor, Odyssey, PayWorks is an asset
Salary Range
$85,000 - $100,000/year
