ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in implementing clinical revenue systems such as Med-Metrix, Epic, Cerner, or similar platforms. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in healthcare revenue cycle management, coupled with hands-on experience leading end-to-end system implementation projects. This role is crucial in driving successful implementations and optimizing our clinical revenue processes to enhance financial performance and operational efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead full-cycle implementation of clinical revenue systems, with a focus on Med-Metrix or similar platforms, including planning, design, testing, and go-live.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across finance, IT, clinical operations, and external vendors to ensure project alignment and successful delivery.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, risk assessments, and status reports, ensuring projects stay on track, within scope, and on budget.
- Oversee integration and configuration of revenue cycle modules, including patient accounting, billing, collections, and reporting tools.
- Conduct regular meetings with cross-functional teams to facilitate clear communication and resolve project issues promptly.
- Manage project risks and change requests, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
- Lead system testing, user training, and post-implementation support to ensure a smooth transition and high user adoption.
- Analyze system performance and recommend process improvements to optimize clinical revenue cycle operations.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, data privacy standards, and internal policies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Track and report project resource utilization.
EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5 years of project management experience, with a focus on clinical revenue cycle system implementations.
- Proven experience implementing systems such as Med-Metrix, Epic, Cerner, McKesson, or similar platforms in a healthcare environment.
- Strong knowledge of revenue cycle processes, including patient registration, scheduling, coding, billing, and collections.
- Project Management certification (PMP, CAPM, or similar) is preferred.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with experience in process improvement initiatives.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Jira) and familiarity with data analysis/reporting tools.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require hourly pay range disclosure: $65 - $80.
