The company is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant. This role offers a dynamic mix of accounting and audit responsibilities, providing an excellent opportunity to enhance your expertise in both fields. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in day-to-day accounting, experience collaborating with external auditors, and a proactive approach to process improvement. A CPA certification is highly desirable, and public accounting experience is a significant advantage.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounting Functions:

  • Perform daily accounting tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and reports for management.
Audit Coordination:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, facilitating audit processes and providing required documentation.
  • Support internal audit activities and ensure adherence to internal controls.
  • Address audit findings and collaborate on the implementation of corrective actions.
Compliance and Reporting:
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for tax filings and other statutory reporting.
Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes and systems for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Participate in the implementation of new accounting tools and technologies.
Collaboration:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and analysis.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).
    • Bachelor’s degree is a minimum educational requirement for this position and cannot be waived.
  • CPA certification strongly preferred.
Experience:
  • 4 years of progressive accounting experience, with a blend of accounting and audit responsibilities.
  • Public accounting experience is a significant advantage.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and auditing standards.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
Soft Skills:
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with auditors and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
