Title: Director, Technical Accounting
Location: San Diego - Hybrid, 4 days mandatory onsite
Salary: $190-260k Bonus RSUs
Job Description:
This role within the Technical Accounting group will help lead our quarterly, annual and other financial reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). This person will work cross functionally with all business units and corporate functions to determine and document the proper accounting treatment of complex and/or new types of transactions; and undertakes projects such as assisting the business units and corporate functions with acquisitions, dispositions, the implementation of new accounting guidance, etc.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical accounting and financial reporting, including 5 years of experience in a Big Four accounting firm. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently, and the capability to influence key organizational decisions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- 10 years of Technical Accounting, Financial Reporting, or related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in tech industry, XBRL tagging and aptitude for systems (e.g., WDesk, Oracle, HFM, Microsoft) and accounting process flows.
- 5 years in a Big Four Accounting firm.
- CPA Certification or country equivalent.
- Experience working in a large matrixed organization.
- Technical leadership role with or without direct reports.
