Quality Control Supervisor POST NUMBER: 432097
Position Purpose:
Oversee all aspects of inspection and testing of supplied products, manufacturing, shipments and returned goods. Prepare required test and First Article Inspection (FAI) reports in accordance with customer, regulatory, company policies and internal procedures. Assist production personnel with inspection methods and prevention of non-conforming products. Must be able to work with peers and senior management in Engineering, Manufacturing, Material Control and Sales/Marketing disciplines as well as customers and suppliers to ensure producing and shipping products in accordance with established requirements.
- Supervises and manages Incoming, In-Process and Final Quality Control activities
- Establish an effective Quality Control inspection program assuring product and process conformance
- Develop performance metrics for manufacturing and inspection processes
- Implement product or process improvement plans in accordance with company objective.
- Provide required training for operators and inspectors in quality practices and quality systems requirements.
- Manage the disposition of non-conforming material, process qualifications, and product validation.
- Reviews documentation for completeness and accuracy from customers, manufacturing, and suppliers.
- Assure products conform to customer, regulatory and internal requirements.
- Perform dimensional and/or product validation reports per customer or internal requirements
- Operate testing and inspection equipment
- Manage customer complaints (RMA) and provide formal inspection reports when warranted
- Perform other duties according to business needs
Qualifications (Education, Experience & Skills)
- Undergraduate degree in related field (i.e., engineering, quality, industrial), and a minimum of five (5) years of related experience in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
- Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) and/or Quality Auditor per ASQ a plus
- Computer skills; email & general business software (e.g., MS Office, Outlook, etc.)
- Demonstrated Communication skills (oral & technical writing)
- Ability to work effectively alone and within a team environment

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
