Vaco is supporting a Phoenix based client for a key role on their project management team to support a major upgrade and deployments for their POS systems at over 6,000 locations across N. America. You will manages the entire deployment lifecycle from lab creation, testing, beta, and deployment of the POS and be accountable for meeting agreed upon scope, cost, schedule and quality measures. You will develop the deployment plan, drive project milestones and establish the communication plan with project team and key stakeholders. You will provide day-to-day direction to project resources and ensure effective change management occurs throughout the course of the project. This position will be tasked with providing documentation, status reports and budgets to key stakeholders across the organization. We are looking for those who have supported POS deployments in a retail environment, ideally with NCR Radiant/Verifone systems. Position responsibilities:

Lead the pre-deployment process for POS systems
Manage the deployment queue and develop release schedules
Provide support during the technical release process
Ensure production systems are functional after a release
Requires excellent oral and written communications, interpersonal, negotiation, project planning, analysis and problem-solving skills.
Strong knowledge of MS Project, Visio, Excel, Word.

Additional details:

General project management experience
Experience supporting POS systems (NCR Radiant/Verifone) in a retail sending
Solid understanding of the entire SDLC
Experienced with POS deployments and Lab Management (nice to have)
Bachelor's degree and PMP (nice to have)
