About the Opportunity
- Have a key role in the preparation of the external reporting package, including the quarterly and annual financial statements and management discussion and analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) annual report, including the research of developing climate standards and related calculations.
- Collaborate with the team in ad-hoc projects, including the automation and streamlining of various processes to improve the reporting timeline and process improvement.
- Prepare, and review other team members’, routine general ledger entries as needed and monthly and quarterly reconciliations, including investigating and reporting on variances to expectation analysis.
- Liaise with the external auditors and manage the quarterly reviews and annual audit process.
- Prepare technical accounting memorandums on complex accounting topics.
- Assist in maintaining the internal control processes related to assigned areas for the financial books and records of the Company.
- Be a key and an active member of the Finance team; willing to mentor and coach peers, work collaboratively, brainstorm issues, complete ad-hoc requests and be flexible in completing any task.
About You
- CPA designation or enrolled in the program.
- Public accounting background
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in a similar industry role, preferably in a public mid-sized manufacturing/technology environment.
- IFRS experience
- Excellent computer skills, including experience in MS Excel and MS Word applications, with a willingness to develop a full working knowledge of the Company’s NetSuite ERP system.
Salary Range
$85,000 to $95,000/year
