Retail Product Manager (Mid-Level to Senior)

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Retail Product Manager to join our team. In this role, you will own the end-to-end product lifecycle for retail-specific products and solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in product management within the retail industry, combining strategic vision, operational excellence, and a customer-first mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Product Strategy and Roadmap:

  2. Develop and communicate a clear product vision, strategy, and roadmap for retail products, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  3. Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
  4. Stakeholder Collaboration:

  5. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, engineering, and operations, to ensure successful product development and delivery.
  6. Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to prioritize features and ensure alignment with retail goals.
  7. Product Development and Lifecycle Management:

  8. Lead the product development lifecycle from ideation to launch, including requirement gathering, user story creation, and prioritization.
  9. Oversee the execution of product enhancements, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  10. Customer-Centric Focus:

  11. Conduct user research and gather feedback to understand customer needs and pain points.
  12. Ensure the product meets the needs of retail customers and enhances their experience.
  13. Performance Tracking and Optimization:

  14. Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and identify areas for improvement.
  15. Utilize data-driven insights to refine product features and make informed decisions.
  16. Go-to-Market and Communication:

  17. Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop effective go-to-market strategies, including product positioning, messaging, and pricing.
  18. Provide training and support materials to internal teams to ensure successful product adoption.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Product Management, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Experience: 5 years of product management experience, with at least 2 years in a retail-focused role.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of retail technologies, including POS systems, e-commerce platforms, and inventory management tools.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Aha!).
  • Soft Skills:
  • Exceptional communication and leadership abilities to collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with omnichannel retail solutions or digital transformation projects.
    • Certifications such as Pragmatic Marketing, CSPO, or SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager.
