Job Title: Credit & Collections Analyst
Full Time Direct Hire Opportunity
Location: Brentwood, TN (Hybrid after training)
Salary: $70K
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Credit and Collections Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage customer accounts and oversee collection activities to minimize financial risk and maximize cash flow. This role requires excellent analytical skills, strong communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collections Management:
- Proactively contact customers to resolve outstanding invoices and reduce delinquent accounts.
- Develop and implement strategies to recover past-due balances while maintaining positive customer relationships.
- Document collection efforts and update account information in the system.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and present detailed reports on account statuses, aging schedules, and collection progress to management.
- Maintain accurate records of credit approvals, payment plans, and disputes.
- Customer Relations:
- Serve as a liaison between customers and internal departments to resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues.
- Address and escalate payment disputes as necessary.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline credit and collections processes for greater efficiency.
- Recommend policy adjustments to improve cash flow and mitigate risk.
- Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3-5 years of experience in credit analysis, collections, or accounts receivable.
- Proficiency in accounting software and tools; experience with NetSuite is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of credit reporting and analysis processes.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards.
- Experience with NetSuite
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
This position operates in a professional office setting, with flexibility for remote work after the initial training period.
