SALT Manager POST NUMBER: 442727
Dallas, TX – Hybrid, 4 day onsite
Compensation: $120-130K 15% Bonus
One of Vaco’s publiclty-traded commercial and industrial manufacturing clients is looking to onboard a Tax Manager to the team due to growth and volume. Managers will own state/local side, compliance, provision calculations and multi-state returns (high volume) as well as state tax calculations that tie into their SEC filings.

Day-to-Day
- Lead and manage state and local tax compliance and reporting for clients, ensuring timely and accurate filings of state and local income, franchise, sales, and property taxes.
- Oversee the preparation of state and local tax returns and workpapers, including reviewing and finalizing all filings.
- Provide guidance and recommendations on sales and use tax, income tax nexus, apportionment, and tax credits/deductions.
- Develop and implement state tax planning strategies to minimize state and local tax liabilities.
- Research and analyze state and local tax laws, regulations, and rulings to provide timely advice and ensure compliance.
- Stay up to date on changes to state and local tax regulations and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, JD, or MST preferred).
- #xperience in state and local tax (SALT) with a focus on state income/franchise, sales/use, and property taxes.
- Strong understanding of state and local tax laws, compliance procedures, and audit processes.
- Proficiency in tax research, analysis, and utilizing tax software.
