Accounting Associate POST NUMBER: 443232
The Accounting Associate position is a newly created opportunity to join a top performing private equity firm headquartered in Nashville, TN. As a key member of the company’s Finance Team, this individual will support fund accounting responsibilities, tax compliance, and management company operations. Primary Responsibilities:
· Manage cash and lines-of-credit
· Prepare, gather and maintain support for quarterly financial reporting and annual audits for investment funds, and interact with fund administrator and auditors
· Prepare and review capital calls and distributions in coordination with fund administrator
· Process diverse tax payments across multiple jurisdictions, coordinating with external advisors
· Administer vendor information, assist with entity management and corporate registrations, and insurance
· Create and maintain an effective control environment
· Assist in file maintenance/organization and other administrative tasks
· Various other tasks, projects and deadlines that arise in relation to above
Ideal Background
· 2-4 years of work experience in accounting.
· Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
· Understanding of accounting principles and practices.
· Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
· Public accounting experience and CPA or CPA track preferred.
· Ability to work in office at least 2 days per week.
· Collaborative and goal-oriented.
