Job Description: Financial Analyst
Our client is seeking a motivated and analytical Financial Analyst to support financial planning, reporting, and operational analysis initiatives. This individual will work closely with business leaders across multiple functions to provide financial insights, support decision-making, and identify opportunities to improve business performance. The ideal candidate enjoys working with data, solving complex problems, and contributing to a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain financial and operational reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
- Analyze financial results and key business indicators to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes, including variance analysis and performance reviews.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning activities.
- Monitor business performance against established goals and provide recommendations to improve results.
- Partner with operational and corporate stakeholders to support business initiatives and strategic decision-making.
- Perform financial modeling and ad hoc analyses to evaluate opportunities, investments, and operational improvements.
- Support capital planning and investment analysis activities.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and assist with enhancing reporting efficiency and data accuracy.
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial and operational data used for reporting and analysis.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and provide analytical support for key business initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- 5 years of experience in financial analysis, business analysis, operations finance, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
- Experience working with reporting tools, business intelligence platforms, and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree or professional certification preferred.
- Experience supporting operational or business performance initiatives.
- Exposure to data visualization and reporting tools.
- Experience working in a dynamic, growth-oriented organization.
- Familiarity with process improvement methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives.
