Interim Controller POST NUMBER: 308969
We are partnering with a manufacturing client in Portland, TN, seeking an experienced Interim Controller for an immediate consulting opportunity. This role will require a hands-on accounting leader that is comfortable in a clean-up environnment. Responsibilities include GL clean-up across various areas (AR, AP, inventory, fixed assets, and cash flow), ERP optimization (Epicor), and willingness to be hands-on with review of reconciliations and entries as needed.
You will have an accounting team to leverage, but must still be comfortable with being hands-on.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 7 years of accounting experience, with proven experience at the controllership level
- Strong manufacturing and cost accounting experience, including standard costing
- Proven ability to be hands-on with monthly close, general ledger, reconciliations, and day-to-day accounting operations
- Experience identifying and resolving accounting discrepancies, improving processes, and developing actionable solutions
- ERP optimization or transformation experience highly preferred
- Must be immediately available and local to the greater Middle Tennessee area
- Ability to work on-site in Portland, TN (hybrid - 2-3 days a week on-site)
- Willingness to travel to Chicago for a potential one-time, 3–4 day knowledge transfer early in the engagement
