Senior Accountant (Associate Level) - 6-Month Contract POST NUMBER: 443641
Our client is sourcing a Senior Accountant (Associate Level) for a 6-Month Contract.
About the Opportunity
- Coordinate the onboarding, tracking, and maintenance of investment assets
- Manage updates and changes to asset data across platforms
- Communicate with external service providers such as brokers, custodians, and agents
- Review and action event-driven updates (e.g., notices, corporate actions)
- Monitor trade lifecycles, including execution, entry, and final settlement
- Contribute to internal reporting processes, ensuring data accuracy and timely delivery
- Assist with additional duties or projects as assigned by leadership
- Conduct daily reviews of cash activity and transactions to ensure accuracy
- Compare and reconcile internal records with those of custodians and clients
- Follow up and resolve exceptions or breaks, particularly those outstanding over 7 days
- Collaborate across departments and with external parties to investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Work closely with internal departments to address issues, deliver updates, and meet SLAs
- Provide updates and feedback to improve service levels and client satisfaction
- Assist the Middle Office Manager with workload distribution and task prioritization
- Contribute to onboarding, knowledge sharing, and upskilling of team members
- Participate in building and refining internal procedures to support efficiency and accuracy
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline is required
- Experience in fund operations or private equity fund services is strongly preferred
- CPA, MBA, or Master’s-level qualifications are a plus
- Familiarity with systems such as Paxus, Investran, Geneva, eFront, or Allvue is advantageous
- Understanding of complex fund structures, including waterfalls, incentive calculations, and fee arrangements
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage tight deadlines and multi-step processes independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Motivated self-starter who is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
