Sr. Client Accounts Specialist POST NUMBER: 309357
The Senior Client Accounts Specialist manages client relationships and collections for a portfolio of attorneys and accounts, with the goal of maximizing realization. The role is mostly collections, but it also requires a working understanding of legal e-billing. Customer service is the most important part of this job.
Location: Dallas, TX (75201) 3 days/week On-Site
Compensation: $30-$43/hourly
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5:00pm
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in collections, client relations, and account management.
- Legal industry experience, such as at a law firm or in a corporate legal department. (NEEDED)
- A working understanding of legal e-billing.
- Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, and pivot tables, along with strong overall Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent customer service, plus strong verbal and written communication.
- Tact and diplomacy in sensitive client conversations.
- Solid knowledge of billing, collections, and basic accounting principles
Preferred
- A bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with Aderant.
- Experience with legal e-billing platforms such as BillBlast, CounselLink, and Legal Tracker.
Day to Day:
- Manage an assigned portfolio of attorneys and accounts. This includes overseeing high-dollar inventory, analyzing accounts, and resolving aged invoices, credit balances, and unbilled time promptly.
- Contact clients, attorneys, and practice assistants by email, phone, and mail about past-due payments.
- Negotiate payment plans when needed, and monitor whether clients keep to them.
- Work with the e-billing team to resolve invoice rejections, reductions, and submission issues that hold up payment.
- Respond promptly and accurately to collection questions from attorneys, practice assistants, and firm leadership.
- Prepare and present reports on delinquent accounts to firm leadership. Flag at-risk inventory and recommend next steps.
