Senior Accountant
Our client, a high-growth consumer products company in the beauty and personal care industry, is seeking a dynamic Senior Accountant to join their collaborative finance team. This role will support month-end close activities, assist with ERP implementation, and help scale processes as the business continues to expand. This hybrid position can be based in either Oakland or Los Angeles, with a three-day-per-week in-office schedule.
Responsibilities:

Partner with business and budget owners to prepare monthly and quarterly accruals across departments.

Post journal entries, handle monthly accruals, and reconcile general ledger accounts.

Support monthly close and ERP implementation-related projects.

Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary audit support and documentation.

Support ad hoc requests across finance and executive teams, acting flexibly as a cross-functional contributor.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field required.

3–5 years of accounting experience, including time in public accounting.

Strong understanding of GAAP; CPA preferred.

Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting software such as NetSuite or SAP.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; highly detail-oriented.
Compensation:
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure: $100K - $105K] per year. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
