Job Title: Level 2 Infrastructure Technician

Pay rate would be $30 to $40 per hour with salary conversion from $60,000 to $75,000 plus bonus.


You will be working for a Managed Services Provider (MSP) delivering IT support and infrastructure services to a diverse client base. We specialize in designing, deploying, and maintaining robust Microsoft-based environments. We are looking for a sharp and customer-focused Level 2 Infrastructure Technician to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

As a Level 2 Infrastructure Technician, you will be the go-to for escalated technical issues, working across Microsoft environments including Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Azure, and Active Directory. You will manage escalations from Level 1, assist with infrastructure projects, and provide day-to-day support for a range of clients. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, MSP experience, and thrives in a fast-paced, multi-client environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Handle escalated tickets related to servers, networking, and cloud issues in Microsoft environments.
  • Deploy, configure, and support Windows Servers (2012–2022), including AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and file/print services.
  • Manage Microsoft 365 tenant administration, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and licensing.
  • Support Azure AD, Intune, and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues, VPNs, and firewall configurations (especially with client handoff).
  • Monitor and maintain client infrastructure using RMM tools and PSA systems (e.g., ConnectWise, N-able, or similar).
  • Assist with infrastructure projects such as server upgrades, migrations, backup solutions, and cloud deployments.
  • Create and update documentation for client environments, SOPs, and technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with Level 1 technicians and escalate to Level 3 or vendors as needed.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and occasionally work outside business hours for scheduled maintenance.

Required Qualifications:
  • 2–4 years of experience in IT infrastructure support, preferably in an MSP environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies: Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure, PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware) and backup solutions (Veeam, Datto, etc.).
  • Experience supporting network devices: firewalls, switches, and VPNs.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and cloud platforms.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Network , Security , Microsoft MCSA/MCP, or Azure Fundamentals.
  • Experience with ticketing and RMM tools (ConnectWise, Autotask, N-able, etc.).
  • Familiarity with scripting or automation using PowerShell or other tools.
