Role: Finance Manager
Salary: $130,000 – 160,000/annually
Location: Long Island, New York (Nassau County) – On-Site
About the Role: Growing construction design and materials company is seeking a Finance Manager to join their team. This person will be responsible for FP&A including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and strategic analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Craft and evaluate financial documents such as balance sheets and income statements.
- Support the accounting team during month-end closing activities, including accruals and expense analysis.
- Communicate monthly financial outcomes to the corporate accounting team.
- Maintain precise financial documentation.
- Partner with the corporate finance team on various initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards.
- Produce monthly and ad hoc financial reports.
- Formulate and execute financial strategies and plans.
- Examine financial data to pinpoint trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Perform financial modeling and analysis.
- Create and oversee budgets for departments or projects.
- Track performance against budget and identify discrepancies.
- Develop financial forecasts to predict business changes.
- Offer guidance and support to finance and accounting team members.
- Ensure finance-related tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to the executive team.
- Aid strategic decision-making with financial analysis and data.
- Work with other departments to ensure financial alignment with business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience as a financial analyst.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
- Advanced proficiency in financial software and tools.
