Hiring a Senior Director of Enterprise Data Solutions that will provide strategic vision and leadership for the institution's data engineering and data architecture functions in an Azure environment.
Experience implementing Data Vault 2.0 methodologies & utilizing Erwin Data Modeler is preferred
What you’ll do:
- Oversee the execution of the roadmap for enterprise data solutions. Lead the design, build, and maintenance of scalable and reliable data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes utilizing Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and related Azure technology stack.
- Define and govern the Enterprise Data Architecture Strategy. Implement and refine Medallion architecture, Data Lakehouse, and Data Vault 2.0 modeling principles using tools like Erwin Data Modeler.
- Oversee the management and optimization of the Azure cloud data platform, ensuring cost-effectiveness, performance, and reliability. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies (especially within the Azure ecosystem), and best practices in data engineering and architecture.
- Enable and incorporate Artificial Intelligence and other Intelligent Technologies into strategic plans and team deliverables.
- Drive data governance and compliance ensuring the security, privacy, and compliance (e.g., FERPA, GLBA, HIPAA, where applicable) of institutional data assets throughout their lifecycle.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- 10 years of experience in Data Management fields such as data engineering, data architecture, data warehousing, or business intelligence.
- 5 years in a leadership role managing technical teams responsible for data platforms and solutions.
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing data strategies in complex organizations.
- Strong, hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms, specifically Microsoft Azure (including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Server, Azure Purview or equivalent).
- Proven experience with modern data architecture principles (e.g., Data Lakehouse, Medallion Architecture) and data modeling methodologies (e.g., Data Vault, Dimensional Modeling).
