Company Overview
The company specializes in logistics, transportation, and supply chain solutions and is seeking a Controller to oversee the financial operations of their logistics and transportation divisions. This role will work closely with senior leadership to manage financial reporting, compliance, and strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in financial oversight, budgeting, cost management, and compliance within a fast-paced logistics environment.
**Candidates without Logistics experience will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.

Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting functions.

Manage and monitor cash flow, funding balances, and financial transactions.

Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections.

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.

Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Conduct financial analyses and provide insights for capital investments, pricing strategies, and cost optimization.

Coordinate and oversee internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Implement and benchmark best practices to improve financial processes and operational efficiency.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and tax requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
-
5 years of experience in a Controller or senior financial management role.

3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or a related industry preferred.

BA in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
