Accounting Administrator - 6 Month Contract (TTP) POST NUMBER: 445780
About the Opportunity
- Prepare accurate and complete journal entries and maintain overall financial records and systems.
- Ensure that financial records are accurate and complies with established accounting standards, procedures, and internal controls
- Participate and assist with internal and external audits
- Timely and accurate payments to vendor on weekly basis via EFT, cheque, and wire transfer.
- Perform accounts receivable aging and tracking
- Application of cash on timely basis on the correct client and investigate discrepancies
- Collaborate with clients to address any identified discrepancies or issues
- Plan, implement, and manage accounting systems to produce accurate financial information for clients and departments
- Ensure the accurate preparation and maintenance of financial records
- Review accounting records and produce financial statements and reports with analysis
- Review financial accounts to prepare income tax returns based on accounting documentation.
- Identify opportunities and risks that could affect financial performance
- Process sales tax and premium tax filings
- Prepare monthly reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts
- Other duties as assigned
About You:
Educational Requirements:
· College Diploma in accounting and asset
· 2 years’ experience in an accounting capacity
Skills, Knowledge, Experience:
· Strong Sage Enterprise experience and other computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).
· Exceptional customer service skills
· Excellent time management and organizational skills
· Good communication skills (ability to create, compose and edit written materials)
· Motivated, high energy team player
Pay Range:
$26- $28 an hour
