Job Responsibilities:
The position of Accounts Payable Specialist reports to the Accounting Supervisor in a fast paced environment. Seeking a candidate that is well organized, detail oriented and has great problem solving skills to be part of our team. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for daily keying invoices with proper approvals, reviews purchase orders, statements, and invoices to verify amounts owed. Records and processes payments for vendor invoices in accordance with internal accounting policies and oversees payment schedules. Maintains and reconciles accounts payable ledger to validate charges and ensure accurate and timely payments. Responds to vendor inquiries and problem solving with the research of any discrepancies in billings and payments. Will regularly work in SAP Business One (SAP B1) to complete tasks.
Candidate must be responsible for their own work and be willing to learn and assist others with tasks and special projects. Accuracy and attention to detail are a must.
- Experience with ACH payments
- Experience reconciling credit card statements
- Experience with Abacus, Emburse or other expense reporting software
- Backup on phones, door access
- Monthly journal entries
- Be time sensitive to meeting deadlines, weekly payment runs
- Assist with various projects within and outside the department.
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- 5 years of AP experience with experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Prior experience with SAP B1 software helpful (or other ERP software).
- Well organized and detail oriented.
- Team player willing to assist others.
- Willing to learn industry terms and trends..
- Communicate with coworkers and customers effectively to meet achieve goals.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, Word. Power BI and Teams would be helpful
- Excellent use of grammar both written and verbal.
- Be willing to learn new skills as needed, including new & existing software.
This job is on-site Monday through Friday and the hourly pay rate is $20-25 depending on experience.
