Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Assistant to join our finance team in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day financial operations, assisting with cost tracking, inventory accounting, and helping maintain accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have experience or familiarity with the financial processes unique to manufacturing businesses.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the preparation and maintenance of financial records, reports, and manufacturing cost data

Enter and reconcile financial transactions in the accounting system (e.g., raw material purchases, production costs, inventory movements)

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including matching purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices

Support inventory accounting, including periodic inventory counts and reconciliation with physical stock

Assist in tracking production costs, variances, and standard costing
-
Reconcile bank accounts, vendor statements, and general ledger accounts

Prepare and issue customer invoices; follow up on outstanding payments

Help with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and financial reporting

Maintain accurate digital and physical filing systems for financial documents

Communicate with vendors, plant operations staff, and internal departments to resolve financial issues

Assist with audits and provide documentation as required
Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

Previous experience in accounting or bookkeeping; experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred

Basic understanding of inventory accounting and cost of goods sold (COGS)

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP)

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Good communication and problem-solving abilities

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting

Comfortable handling confidential information
