Our client is seeking a Financial Reporting Manager to join their corporate Finance and Accounting team in Raleigh, NC. As a Financial Reporting Manager, you will analyze financial results, identify variances and trends, and provide insights for management decisions. You will apply accounting principles to analyze data, record and reconcile transactions, and prepare financial reports.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough analysis of financial results, identifying and explaining variances and trends to provide valuable insights for management decision-making.
- Utilize accounting principles to analyze financial data, record and reconcile transactions, and assist in the preparation of comprehensive financial reports.
- Research and apply appropriate accounting treatments in accordance with GAAP as needed.
- Work collaboratively with finance and other functional teams to review expenses and forecast annual operating expenditures.
- Support the annual business planning process, including the preparation of operating and capital plans.
- Lead the year-end review process, which includes preparing external financial statements, cash flow statements, consolidating entries, and financial workpapers.
- Ensure the successful implementation of new accounting standards when necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA required.
- 5 years of relevant financial reporting, accounting, or finance experience, preferably with experience in Public Accounting.
- Previous or current experience in a management role.
- Must be technically proficient in financial reporting and technical accounting, including memo writing, research, and the implementation of new accounting standards.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with accounting software systems.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP.
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills combined with an ability to interpret data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations.
- Exceptional client service mentality and strong work ethic.
