Job Title: Staff Accountant – General Ledger & Fixed Assets
Location: Irvine, CA (Onsite fully)
Job Type: Full-Time, Onsite
Work Environment: Fast-Paced, High Volume


Overview:

Our client is a high-performing, billion-dollar organization with a national footprint and a fast-paced accounting department. We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join their dynamic onsite team in Irvine, CA. This position is ideal for a self-motivated, detail-oriented accounting professional with strong general ledger knowledge and significant hands-on experience with large volume Fixed Assets. Key Responsibilities

  • Support all aspects of General Ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close activities.

  • Perform full-cycle Fixed Assets accounting, including capitalizations, depreciation, disposals, asset tracking, and reporting.

  • Review and analyze capital expenditures to ensure compliance with company policy and GAAP standards.

  • Maintain and reconcile fixed asset sub-ledgers and prepare roll-forward schedules.

  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.

  • Prepare high-volume journal entries and complex reconciliations for multiple entities.

  • Assist with internal and external audits by preparing detailed schedules and supporting documentation.

  • Work closely with finance, operations, and procurement teams to ensure accounting accuracy.

  • Continuously seek opportunities for process improvements, automation, and best practices documentation.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience, with direct responsibility for General Ledger and Fixed Assets.

  • Previous experience in a large, high-volume, corporate environment preferred.

  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP and fixed asset accounting best practices.

  • Advanced MS Excel skills required – must be proficient with pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, nested formulas, and large dataset management.

  • ERP system experience strongly preferred (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.).

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Team-oriented, with a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn and contribute.
