Key Responsibilities:

Prepare supporting documentation and Excel workbooks for sales & use tax and parking tax filings

File sales & use and parking tax returns accurately and on time through various state and local tax portals

Process and reconcile payments associated with tax filings
-
Maintain the department’s tax calendar to track all filing deadlines and ensure timely submissions

Oversee the management of tax-exempt transactions, including reviewing and maintaining exemption certificates

Serve as a resource for tax-related inquiries from internal departments

Conduct research on technical tax issues and respond to state and local tax notices

Assist with tax projects and audits, including compiling information for regulatory agencies

Post and reconcile tax payments in the general ledger

Perform quarterly audits of regional tax activity to verify accuracy and compliance
Qualifications: -
2–4 years of relevant tax or accounting experience (multi-state tax experience preferred)

Strong Excel skills, including the ability to organize and analyze large data sets

Knowledge of general accounting principles and tax compliance requirements

Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines

Excellent communication and organizational skills
