Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Accountant with hands-on experience using Yardi Voyager 8 or similar Yardi property management platforms. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the month-end close process, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, supporting account reconciliations, and assisting in the preparation of financial reports. This role requires strong knowledge of real estate or property management accounting and an aptitude for leveraging technology to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities

Perform monthly and quarterly closings, including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations within Yardi Voyager 8.

Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, intercompany accounts, and sub-ledgers.

Ensure accurate posting of income, expenses, and capital expenditures for managed properties.

Generate and analyze financial statements and variance reports for internal stakeholders.

Maintain and update recurring entries, rent rolls, CAM reconciliations, and fixed asset schedules in Yardi.

Collaborate with property managers and operations teams to resolve accounting discrepancies.

Assist with year-end audits by preparing supporting documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.

Utilize Yardi’s reporting features and tools (e.g., custom reports, dashboards, transaction filters) to streamline accounting workflows.

Identify opportunities to optimize system usage, implement best practices, and improve data integrity in Yardi.

Support system upgrades or transitions, including testing and data validation, as needed.
