Senior Data Analytics (Product Analytics)

The International Product Analytics team is looking for an experienced product analyst who will support product, engineering and leadership teams with insights gained from analyzing product and business data. They must have a proven ability to drive business results with their data-based insights. They must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams. The right candidate will have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes. The candidate will work on digital experience to help set the vision for creating amazing products.

About Team:

What you'll do:

  • Define metrics, drive roadmaps, and uncover opportunities to improve Walmart products.
  • Use quantitative analysis and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and understand what drives the business.
  • Partner with product leaders, designers, and engineering managers to improve products and prioritize projects for impact.
  • Provide data driven insights and deliver recommendations that address opportunities for product improvements.
  • Represent the product analytics team in key meetings and business reviews with executive teams.
  • Use statistical methods to generate and test hypotheses. This includes: Performing analytical deep-dives to identify problems, opportunities and actions required; Collecting, processing, and cleaning data from disparate sources using SQL, R, Python, or other scripting and statistical tools.
  • Managing the design, execution, and analysis of A/B tests; driving rigor and testing culture through product teams.

  • Strong intellectual curiosity: The ideal candidate will possess a passion for continual learning, exhibit a high level of curiosity, enjoy digging deep into complex problems, and have a strong interest in exploring and understanding datasets beyond surface-level analysis. This role requires an individual always eager to learn new techniques, tools, and methodologies in data analytics and apply them to their work.
  • Have a strong bias towards action, enjoy finding patterns amidst chaos, and have demonstrated success in using analytics to drive business impact.
  • Have the technical skills to surface insights quickly, and the interpersonal skills to communicate those insights in a way that persuades action.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of experience of working in a high growth analytics team.
  • Strong experience in using analytics tools for visualization, measurement and experimentation such as Tableau, Looker, Adoble, etc.
  • Hands on experience in multi million records of data using SQL based querying languages (MS SQL, MY SQL, HIVE, Big query)
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field. Relevant experience in product analytics will be a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development.
  • Led or worked independently on major initiatives.
