Our client in the industrial products sector is seeking an experienced and driven Sales Director, to spearhead the development of a comprehensive sales onboarding program, execution of sales strategies to drive revenue growth, and robust analyses of sales reporting. This role offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary, bonus structure, and benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Recruit, hire, and mentor a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Implement effective sales training programs to upskill team members continuously.
- Develop and oversee a comprehensive sales onboarding program for new hires.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and implement strategic sales plans aligned with company objectives.
- Cultivate and nurture long-term partnerships with major clients and high-potential prospects.
- Serve as a brand ambassador by attending and actively participating in industry tradeshows, conferences, and networking events to increase visibility and drive new business opportunities.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities.
- Set and monitor sales targets, quotas, and key performance indicators for the team.
- Leverage data-driven insights to optimize sales processes, pricing strategies, and customer acquisition/retention efforts.
- Build and maintain a robust sales reporting system to track performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present comprehensive sales reports and forecasts to executive leadership.
- 10 years of progressive sales leadership experience in the industrial sector.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is preferred.
- Proven track record of successfully developing and coaching high-performing sales teams.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
