

Senior Auditor POST NUMBER: 446335
The Senior Auditor is responsible for assisting in the development and maintenance of process documentation, conducting walkthroughs, testing internal controls over financial reporting, and monitoring remediation of identified issues. This position will collaborate with various departments across the organization to evaluate and strengthen internal controls, ensure SOX compliance, and support broader internal audit initiatives. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting and audit principles, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Support SOX compliance by maintaining process documentation, including narratives and Risk & Control Matrices (RCMs).
- Perform walkthroughs and test internal controls to ensure effective design and operational performance.
- Identify control deficiencies, recommend remediation plans, and track progress to resolution.
- Prepare clear and organized audit workpapers to support testing and findings.
- Collaborate with control owners to improve internal controls and provide process enhancement guidance.
- Assess the SOX impact of organizational changes, new systems, or accounting pronouncements.
- Coordinate with external auditors and cross-functional teams to support SOX and internal audit activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience related field (internal audit, corporate accounting, public accounting, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros).
- Experience with software such as Great Plains, QuickBooks, or similar.
- Solid understanding of accounting theory and principles
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, audit methodologies, and internal control frameworks.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
- Highly organized with strong time management, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
