The Global Controller will play a critical leadership role in managing the global accounting function, overseeing a team of 35–45 professionals across multiple regions. Reporting to executive leadership, this individual will be responsible for all aspects of global accounting operations, including consolidated financial reporting, IFRS and GAAP compliance, transaction and general ledger accounting, internal controls, and foreign currency and multi-entity accounting. This role also offers the opportunity to drive process improvements and build a best-in-class finance organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the global accounting team, ensuring timely and accurate consolidated reporting
- Oversee IFRS and US GAAP compliance for all global entities
- Manage global accounting operations including transaction accounting, GL accounting, and internal controls
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, controls, and systems
- Ensure compliance with local, regional, and global regulatory requirements
- Oversee foreign currency accounting and complex multi-entity consolidations
- Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and executive leadership
- Serve as a key leader during audits and regulatory reviews
Qualifications
- CPA designation required
- Big 4 public accounting audit experience required
- Minimum of 12 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a senior corporate accounting leadership role
- Proven expertise in global consolidations and international accounting standards (IFRS required)
- Strong background in accounting for global entities in manufacturing, distribution, or retail environments
- Demonstrated success in team leadership, process improvement, and organizational change
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
- History of career progression and job stability
