Vaco is actively seeking a Technology Support Engineer for a direct-hire position with our client in Memphis.

Primary Focus

This position provides concierge-level technical support to internal employees in a high-demand corporate environment, ensuring seamless use of technology to drive mission-critical operations and achieve strategic business goals.

The ideal candidate will bring diverse experiences with modern Windows environments, device hardware, cybersecurity best practices, scripting / automation, and foundational networking concepts. Familiarity with enterprise mobility and device management is also preferred.

As a member of the technology support team, this position will work in close partnership with infrastructure engineers and cross-functional IT teams to maintain responsive, secure, and efficient end-user systems.


Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Provide frontline support for desktop software and hardware, including troubleshooting access issues, password resets, network connectivity, printer configuration, and mobile device support.
  • Respond to and resolve incidents involving email, permissions, backups, security alerts, and system performance.
  • Assist in equipment setup, software rollouts, asset deployment, and periodic system upgrades.
  • Participate in team-led projects, end-user training sessions, and company-wide IT initiatives.
  • Occasional after-hours project work and routine on-call support will be required.


Requirements & Skills:
 
  • Minimum of three years experience in a Tier 2 support role with proven ability to resolve client-side technical issues.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a service-oriented approach, with proven ability to support end users at all levels, including executive leadership.
  • Skilled in PowerShell scripting to automate administrative tasks, streamline system management, and enhance support efficiency in Windows environments.
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-moving, service-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to learn specialized and proprietary applications.

  • Target Compensation: $65,000 - $70,000
