Role: Senior Account Payable Manager
Duration: Temp to Perm
Location: Chicago IL (Hybrid)

This role interacts with the client teams, including General Ledger Accounting, Treasury, Operations, Compliance, and Technology. The Senior Manager must be a critical thinker, analytical, energetic, and possess strong attention to detail. 
Duties/Responsibilities
  • Manage a team responsible for Accounts Payable and travel & expense (T&E) expenditures
  • Manage the timely matching of invoices with purchase orders
  • Ensure all payables have proper approvals according to corporate policy
  • Manage the review T&E expense reports for accuracy and corporate policy adherence
  • Supervise the research of vendor inquires and respond to vendors
  • Review payment reports for weekly vendor payments
  • Assist with other accounting duties and special projects as needed
Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) required
  • CPA or equivalent certification preferred
  • 8 years of prior experience; 3 years as a people manager
  • Experience with full cycle AP, month-end close, and account analysis
  • Experience using NetSuite accounting system preferred
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Intermediate Excel abilities
  • Strong analytical ability and perseverance to solve problems with minimal oversight
  • Ability to professionally interact with onsite staff and management
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering voucher information
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks within an established timeline
  • Must be a team player and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with 2-way and 3-way matching preferred
