RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, develop, mentor and coach the Company’s Operations teams – overseeing the entire supply chain as well as IT and Customer Service, Indirect Purchasing and company owned office and warehouse facilities.
- Define and implement operations strategy, structure, and processes with an emphasis on continuous learning and process improvement.
- Hire, train, and mentor new Operations team members; including an immediate need to build out the Inventory & Logistics team.
- Manage the relationship and performance of third-party logistics provider, establishing and driving the achievement of KPIs.
- Collaborate with Management and other VPs to define establish Company goals and develop strategies that align with and achieve those goals.
- Oversee development of new manufacturing partners to ensure a proper and solid vendor base
- Oversee various operational projects (e.g., facilities improvements, IT / ERP upgrades), including review of budget and scope and monitoring and controlling costs.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all phases of operations, including front-end and back-end of supply chain, staying up to date on latest trends and technologies.
- Ensures proper capacity and support for Operations throughout the business.
- Drive organizational process improvement across the Company.
- Ensures highest level of quality in product and customer service.
- Create, develop, and improve upon Company SOPs and Department KPIs.
- Monitor Operations performance and proactively identify efficiency issues and drive solutions.
- Report to Exec Management on the Company’s operations on all critical issues, initiatives, and significant improvement opportunities.
- Minimum 10 years in a Senior Operations leadership role or higher in consumer goods; toy, gift, or collectible industry experience a plus.
- Outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills; a team builder and mentor.
- Ability to set overall strategy and drive process improvement.
- Demonstrated project, resource, and management skills and sound business judgment.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills with impeccable attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and NetSuite (or other quality ERP system.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field; MBA is a plus
