**Job Overview:**
NJ-based real estate focused private equity company is seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen and expertise in financial management. **Duties:**
- Take on all aspects of financial management and accounting, including property accounting, corporate accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, as well as development of internal controls.
- Will be responsible for technical accounting, oversight of financial processes, and clerical staff.
- Manage the accounting for real estate holdings, property management, and operating businesses.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including A/P, A/R, cash management, and recording of operations via QuickBooks Desktop.
- Will monitor cash accounts and prepare bank reconciliations.
- Collaborate with external accountants.
- Perform corporate and real property portfolio budgeting and YTD performance analysis.
- Perform financial analysis and credit analysis.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting roles
- CPA is a plus
- Prior experience in property management or related real estate field
- QuickBooks Desktop experience is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Google Suite
- Strong understanding of debits, credits, and account reconciliation
- Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Get-it-done attitude
- Strong sense of ownership of work and preference to be part of a boutique-sized firm
