Job Description:
An established New York City real estate owner, developer, and property manager is seeking a Junior Leasing Agent to join its growing residential leasing team. This permanent, onsite opportunity will support at least two luxury rental properties in Midtown West.
The Junior Leasing Agent will work closely with the leasing team to manage prospective resident inquiries, conduct apartment tours, assist with rental applications, and support the leasing process from initial inquiry through lease execution.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct apartment and building tours for prospective residents.
- Respond to inquiries regarding apartment availability, pricing, building amenities, and leasing requirements.
- Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects and utilize strong sales and closing techniques.
- Assist prospective residents throughout the rental application and approval process.
- Collect and prepare application documents and coordinate with internal teams.
- Prepare and administer leases and other leasing-related documentation.
- Maintain accurate apartment listings across rental websites, including StreetEasy.
- Track prospective resident information, leasing activity, and apartment availability.
- Collaborate with the leasing team regarding market trends, competitive properties, and pricing.
- Provide coverage across multiple Midtown West residential properties.
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of residential leasing experience.
- Active New York State Real Estate License required.
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Professional, polished presentation and a strong sense of urgency.
- Comfortable conducting tours, engaging prospective residents, and closing leases.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience with property management or leasing software preferred.
- Ability to work onsite across multiple properties.
- Weekend availability required.
