

Senior Accountant POST NUMBER: 448086
We are partnering with a local company, seeking a strong Senior Accountant to join their team. This individual will be responsible for daily accounting operations, including preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, and related duties.
Responsibilities
- Review, prepare, and analyze financial statements to ensure they are accurate and fully compliant with GAAP standards, while identifying any potential issues or discrepancies.
- Provide support during the month-end and year-end closing processes, including performing reconciliations, posting journal entries, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data.
- Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring that all financial transactions are properly recorded and classified according to the appropriate accounts and categories.
- Conduct detailed account reconciliations on a regular basis, resolving any discrepancies or variances between financial records and statements.
- Assist with both internal and external audits by compiling necessary documentation, offering detailed explanations, and addressing any audit findings in a timely and efficient manner.
- Contribute to the preparation and analysis of budgets, financial forecasts, and regular financial reports, providing insights into the company’s financial health and projections.
- Perform in-depth analysis of financial data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement, and provide actionable recommendations to improve overall financial performance and decision-making.
- Ensure the organization’s compliance with all relevant tax regulations, supporting tax preparation and filing activities to meet legal requirements and deadlines.
- Collaborate with teams across various departments to improve and optimize financial processes, reporting mechanisms, and communication channels within the organization.
- Design, implement, and maintain robust internal controls and procedures to protect the organization’s assets, minimize risks, and ensure the integrity of financial operations.
- BA/BS in Accounting or Finance, CPA is preferred.
- 5 years of public accounting experience in a private equity setting.
- Working knowledge of GAAP, IFRS.
- Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software are required.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work in a dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required.
