Senior Accountant (Corporate) POST NUMBER: 440846

One of Vaco’s privately-held, billon-dollar clients is looking to add a couple of Senior Accountants to the team due to growth of the company. The current CAO is a client Vaco has worked with for years, specifically helping them to build out the accounting team at a previous company – people have absolutely loved working with them and we’ve received great feedback on the type of culture and leadership on their teams.

Compensation: $90-95,000 10% Bonus
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of general ledger entries.
- Reconcile monthly balance sheet accounts, including cash, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Ensure the accuracy of financial transactions and statements.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets.
- Assist with the preparation of year-end financial statements and audit schedules.
- Assist in the preparation of budget reports and forecasts.
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
- Identify areas of opportunity for improving accounting processes and workflows.
- Participate in the implementation of new accounting software or systems when applicable.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or working towards CPA is a plus.
- 1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance, with knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Great Plains, etc.) preferred.
