Vaco is partnering with a company looking for a long term contract Indirect Purchaser 

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable Indirect Purchaser to support the procurement function for indirect goods and services. This role involves managing purchase orders (POs), vendor communication, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the timely and accurate processing of tasks within a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in ERP systems, intermediate Excel skills, and the ability to work independently while remaining aligned with team goals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, process, and manage purchase orders (POs) for indirect spend

  • Perform data entry across multiple platforms (Infor LM, IQMS, AX) and ensure consistency across systems

  • Communicate with vendors and internal requestors to confirm orders, pricing, delivery, and updates

  • Work from a task list and manage priorities across multiple budgets and departments

  • Assist with the migration and reconciliation of accounts and budgets from IQMS to Infor systems

  • Troubleshoot and resolve PO or vendor-related discrepancies, including billing issues in Fortna and other systems

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including AP, strategic sourcing, and operations

  • Maintain accurate records and support vendor onboarding or transitions

  • Demonstrate flexibility by shifting between systems and tasks based on departmental needs


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2–3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or sourcing (open to less for the right candidate due to the repetitive nature of the role)

  • Experience with ERP systems (Infor LM strongly preferred; IQMS, AX a plus)

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (v-lookups, pivot tables, formulas)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional approach to vendor and team correspondence

  • Ability to multitask and pivot focus quickly in a high-volume environment

  • Highly organized, self-directed, and able to work both independently and collaboratively

  • Familiarity with basic accounts payable processes and vendor management
