Summary of the Position
This position is with a leading North American value retailer operating thousands of stores and a large-scale distribution network. The environment is fast-paced, high-impact, and focused on delivering digital solutions that support both frontline and corporate operations.
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Product Owner to lead a portfolio of major digital and in-store projects. The Product Owner will take full ownership of product lifecycles—from opportunity identification and benefit quantification to development oversight, implementation, training, and support.
You will be instrumental in fostering a culture of autonomy among project stakeholders while ensuring high-quality deliverables and exceptional internal client service. This role also involves contributing to the evolution of our work methodologies, with a strong emphasis on modern practices and artificial intelligence integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project tracking and communicate progress to stakeholders.
- Identify and evaluate business opportunities.
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Prioritize the project portfolio in alignment with company goals.
- Review and enhance existing processes.
- Recommend and implement value-added solutions.
- Define and participate in deployment strategies.
- Deliver user training and ensure post-implementation support.
- Monitor and ensure realization of project-related cost savings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience managing a portfolio of mobile applications, supporting a wide range of operational processes
- Able to define and execute a strategic vision for mobile applications in collaboration with senior leadership.
- Demonstrated success in leading end-to-end development of new digital products and enhancing existing features, coordinating across multiple teams and systems.
- 5–7 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with project management tools.
- Proven experience leading IT and digital transformation projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a structured, process-driven mindset.
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to manage cross-functional teams.
- Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with occasional international travel.
