Our client is a large successful financial services firm looking to hire a Senior Data Architect for a full time position downtown Toronto.
About the Opportunity
We are looking for someone who is coming out of Data-focused roles with design / architecture / background. This person will be working in the Automation group (data is being consumed by RPA/BPM applications, data warehouses, financial apps). The role will involve:

Data Modelling and data architecture

Data governance (dealing with financial/private/confidential data sets)
-
Data Warehousing (Oracle / Snowflake)
-
ETL / Data Transformation (ETL or file/batch/API transfer)
-
Analytics/Reporting (they use Power BI)
-
Cloud data solutions (they use AWS)
This is a hands-on role but also intensive on communication - dealing with stakeholders, team mates, business users, collaborating with other teams, presenting their blueprints/designs to teams, explaining their thought process, etc. This person has to be a very good communicator/collaborator as their solutions will always involve multiple teams/vendors/business units/etc.
About You

Proven experience with Data design / architecture

Experience with Data Modelling, ETL, DW, BI

Experience with Oracle and Snowflake

Exposure to AWS data solutions

Experience with Data Governance, MDM, Data Quality

Experience in financial services industry

Very good communication and presentation skills (business-facing role)

Able to commute to downtown Toronto office as needed.
Salary Range
$140,000 - 145,000/year plus 25% bonus
