

Tax Associate POST NUMBER: 449906
Dallas, TX – Hybrid, 4 day onsite
Compensation: $80-90K 15% bonus
One of Vaco’s publicly-traded commercial manufacturing clients is looking to onboard a Tax Associate to the team due to growth and volume. Successful candidates will play a key role in the preparation of corporate income tax returns and tax provisions in accordance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and ASC 740 guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local corporate income tax returns and related filings
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual income tax provisions in compliance with ASC 740
- Compile and analyze financial data to support tax return and provision calculations
- Maintain and update tax compliance calendars and ensure timely filing of all returns
- Support internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations
- Assist in tax planning and research activities, including identifying tax savings opportunities
- Stay up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and minimize risk
- Collaborate with finance, accounting, and other internal teams to ensure accurate and complete tax reporting
- Contribute to process improvements and implementation of best practices within the tax function
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or progress toward CPA preferred
- 1–3 years of relevant tax experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment
- Working knowledge of corporate tax principles and U.S. GAAP, especially ASC 740
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with tax software such as OneSource, Corptax, or GoSystem is a plus
